We are so honored to share the stage with incredible performers from around the world at this year’s Great Burlesque Expostion, the 10th anniversary! Even further, we are immeasurably gratified to be named “Best Hybrid” and “Dangrrr Doll‘s Personal Pick” for our act “They Can’t Take That Away From Me” which includes elements inspired by our first visit to the Great Burlesque Expo and the incomparable Willy Barrett (aka Joe Paul Williams).
Also bringing hardware back to the Baltimore/DC metro area were “Most Humorous” Ruby Spruce and Private Tails taking home “Matt Finish‘s Personal Pick”.
Congrats to all the performers, winners, judges, organizers, and thank you to everyone for making us a part of it!!!
We are so proud to be selected to perform at this year’s New York Burlesque Festival Golden Pasties Award Show! Join us at the Highline Ballroom on Sunday September 27th for an all-star international spectacular featuring Scotty the Blue Bunny, DJ Fresh Prince of Darkness and performers from around the world.
Doors: 6pm, Show: 8pm
The women of Bawdy Shop Burlesque can teach us all about so many things… and in March and April they’re bringing burlesque classes to the Creative Alliance!
Gettin’ down and dirty with the Queen of Crabs: ow.ly/AJWcj.
Get to the Ottobar Saturday, August 30, 2014 to hear her exercising her pipes:
“Even though I didn’t study voice until a later age, I’ve loved singing my whole life! I started voice lessons and community theater productions in high school, attended summer camps for theatre, took part in All-Shore band and orchestra, All-state orchestra and All-state choir, was Drum Major of my high school’s marching band…all the dorky things performing arts kids do!” – See more at: http://baltimorepostexaminer.com/sunny-sighed-audience-burlesques-queen-crabs/2014/08/25#sthash.LqWqMb15.dpuf

MICA students in the Exhibition Development Seminar have graciously included us in their exhibition “Workin’ The Tease: the Art of Baltimore Burlesque“. And as if that weren’t honor enough, we’ll be helping to kick off their exhibit’s opening night with a performance at the Modell Lyric Opera House on April 22nd! EDS has cast 15 of Baltimore’s beauties to take the stage of this historic theater for one unforgettable night. Read more about it in Kay Sera’s redux on 21stCenturyBurlesque.

Kind Words from Siren Santina makin’ us blush:
“My favorite performance of the night was that of Sunny Sighed and Bal’d Lightning (Baltimore, MD) who gave us a lesson on taming an audience with live song, dance, and striptease…Sunny Sighed and Bal’d Lightning are talented, beautiful, and entertaining. I love seeing unique, genre-blending burlesque and this team brought it in full force.”
